What a Neksus trainer does

A Neksus trainer is a freelance partner who delivers corporate training at the request of client institutions. One engagement can be a one-day workshop for a single team, a multi-session program for a cohort of managers, one-to-one coaching for an executive, or a series of classes across several cities. Before the class starts you receive a brief on the client's needs, help adapt the material, then teach and hand over notes on how it went.

  • A freelance partnership per engagement, agreed in writing before the first one.
  • Participants are staff of client institutions, from new hires to senior leadership.
  • You can deliver a curated Neksus program, or propose your own program for us to offer.
  • The cities and formats you can take on decide which engagements we offer you.

Who we are looking for

Corporate buyers pay for a change in how their team works, so we look for people who have done the work they teach. A plant manager teaching supervision, a tax practitioner teaching corporate tax, a head of customer care teaching service excellence. That field experience shows in the examples they bring into the room, and adult participants notice it straight away.

We also look for people who are at ease teaching adults. Corporate participants arrive with work waiting on their desks, and they stay engaged when every hour of the class is spent on their own problems.

Industry practitioners

Working, or having worked, in the field, and able to describe real decisions they have made.

Independent consultants and trainers

Already holding material, a client list, and teaching hours, and looking for steadier demand.

Practitioner lecturers

Teaching at a university while running industry projects, so both theory and practice are strong.

Coaches and mentors

Used to working with one person over several meetings, for executive coaching and new-leader programs.

Two ways to work with Neksus

The first track is a curated Neksus program. We have already set the program outline, learning goals, and evaluation, and you deliver it with examples from your own experience, adapted to the client's industry. This track suits trainers who want to focus on teaching.

The second track is a program under your name. You bring a program that has already worked, for example a negotiation curriculum you have run for years, and we offer it to institutions that need it. A program that passes our review can get its own program page on neksus.id, written from your expertise, so buyers find it through search.

Both tracks use the same way of quoting and invoicing the client. We discuss which track fits best after we read your application.

The fields most often requested

Demand for corporate training in Indonesia gathers around a handful of large fields. We need trainers in all of them, and the most urgent need is in fields that institutions request in many cities at once.

Leadership and supervision

First-line leaders, middle managers, delegation, giving feedback, running meetings.

Communication

Public speaking, business presentations, communication across departments, negotiation.

Service and sales

Service excellence, complaint handling, selling skills, key account management.

People and organisation

Recruitment, performance appraisal, KPIs, industrial relations, writing SOPs.

Workplace safety

Occupational health and safety, emergency response, workplace first aid, safety culture on the shop floor.

Finance and compliance

Finance for non-finance managers, corporate tax, internal audit, risk management, anti-fraud.

Operations

Supply chain, warehouse management, quality control, root cause analysis, maintenance.

Digital skills

Excel for everyday analysis, digital marketing, using generative AI at work.

How one engagement runs

An engagement starts from the client's need. The Neksus team talks with HR or the unit head and maps who the participants are, which habits the client wants to see shift, and the limits on time and budget. We hand that brief to you before the material is prepared.

Next, you and our team adapt the material. Case studies are replaced with situations participants recognise, terms are matched to the industry, and exercises are chosen so participants try things in the room. For government institutions the agenda also follows the activity format they normally use.

On the day, you teach and our team handles attendance, the room or the online class link, and communication with the client's organising committee. Afterwards you hand over short notes on the class: what went well, which participants need attention, and what to do next. Those notes go into the report we send to the client.

Who sits in your class

Neksus clients are institutions: private companies, state-owned enterprises, ministries and agencies, regional parliament secretariats, hospitals, professional associations, and nonprofits. Participants are their employees and civil servants, and class sizes vary, from one person receiving private coaching to hundreds of participants split into several cohorts.

That range means one trainer can teach twenty warehouse supervisors in an industrial estate one month, then coach a newly appointed director over online sessions the next. We match engagements to your experience and availability, and you can always turn down an engagement that does not fit.

What we do for you

Finding corporate clients is a full-time job, and many trainers who are excellent in the room run out of time for it. At Neksus, that part is ours.

Demand and proposals

Buyers find Neksus through search and referrals, and our team writes the proposal and negotiates it.

Procurement paperwork

Vendor documents, purchase orders, contracts, and client invoices handled to each institution's procurement rules.

Class logistics

Rooms, equipment, printed material, online class links, and coordination with the client's committee.

Evaluation and reporting

Participant questionnaires, result summaries, and the final client report, prepared by our team with your notes.

Pay and the shape of the partnership

Trainers work with Neksus as freelance partners, engagement by engagement. You stay free to set your schedule and to accept or decline any engagement.

The form and amount of pay for each track are shared in a conversation after we read your application, then written into an agreement before your first engagement. For curated programs, pay follows the number of teaching days. For programs under your name, the formula is discussed together because you own the material. Travel to cities outside your own is discussed per engagement and written into the same agreement.

Applying to Neksus costs nothing, and we never ask a trainer to pay in order to receive engagements.

Cities and formats

Most corporate training takes place at the client's office or facility, or in a hotel meeting room the client chooses. The rest runs online, especially for participants spread across many branches. One-to-one coaching can run in person or online.

On the application form you list the city you live in and the other cities you can travel to. That decides which onsite engagements we offer you. Trainers who teach well online are also in high demand, because online classes can bring together participants from anywhere.

What we check before your first engagement

Institutions entrust their employees' time to us, so we get to know every trainer before they stand in front of a client's class. The check is simple and happens once.

Work and teaching history

We read your experience and ask about classes you have delivered.

A sample of your material

One module, agenda, or slide deck that shows how you build a class.

A teaching clip

A short recording of you teaching, or a brief session we sit in on.

Relevant certificates

For fields that require a certificate, such as workplace safety, we check yours against its issuer.

A reference

The name of one client or manager we can contact about your work.

How we hope you teach

Corporate participants learn most when they try. The classes we look for are full of exercises, case discussions, and hands-on practice, with short explanations and examples from the participants' daily work.

Language stays plain and easy to follow, including when you explain technical terms. Client data you receive during an engagement is confidential and used for that class only. If you spot a new need during a program, for instance a team that would benefit from follow-up coaching, tell our team so we can raise it with the client.

What we ask for

The application form asks for the following. Have it ready and the form takes a few minutes.

  • Full name, email, and an active WhatsApp number.
  • The city you live in and other cities you can travel to.
  • The training fields you master, with years of work experience in each.
  • Experience teaching adults: kinds of classes, rough class sizes, and for which institutions.
  • The formats you can take on: onsite, online, or one-to-one coaching.
  • A link to your LinkedIn profile or portfolio, if you have one.
  • The track you are interested in: curated Neksus programs, a program under your name, or both.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need to work full time for Neksus?

No. The partnership is freelance and per engagement, so you can keep another job or your own clients, and you can decline engagements that clash with your schedule.

How much does Neksus pay trainers?

Pay depends on the track, the number of teaching days, and the kind of program. We share the figures in a conversation after reading your application, then write them into an agreement before your first engagement. Applying costs nothing.

Can I bring my own program?

Yes. That is the program-under-your-name track. A program that passes our review is offered to institutions that need it and can get its own program page on neksus.id.

I have never taught inside a company. Can I still apply?

Yes, as long as you have real work experience in the field and are used to explaining things to adults, for example as a lecturer, a speaker, or a manager who trained their own team. Describe that experience on the form.

Which cities are the engagements in?

Wherever the client is. We offer onsite engagements based on the city you live in and the cities you list on the form, and online engagements can be taken from anywhere.

Which language are classes taught in?

Most classes are taught in Indonesian. Some clients, especially multinational companies, ask for classes in English, so mention it on the form if you can teach in English.

Is my data safe?

Application data is used for recruiting Neksus trainers. Your photo and name appear on the site only after you give separate written consent.

What if I have a question before applying?

Write your question in the message field on the application form, and our recruitment team will answer it when they contact you.
