Corporate Training Cost: How Neksus Builds a Budget Around Yours

There is no price list. The figure is built from five things about your program, then written line by line in a RAB you can take straight to a budget meeting or a procurement process.

300+ clients nationwide and 180,000+ private training sessions completed. Among them: MPR RI, Akademi Militer Magelang, DPRD Provinsi Jawa Timur.

One person to hundreds

Private coaching for one participant, a class for one team, or several cohorts at once.

Three budget levels

  • Standard: core class, material fitted to the participants’ work
  • Premium: senior trainer, deeper material design
  • Private 1-on-1: one participant, one trainer, schedule set by the participant

How much does corporate training cost?

Corporate training cost depends on five things: how many people join, how long the program runs, where and in what format it is held, the trainer level, and how far the material is customized. Neksus does not use a price list. We build an itemized cost plan (RAB) from your need and your budget, so every line shows its reason. Request one through a free consultation.

Five things that shape the price

Two programs on the same topic can have very different budgets. The gap almost always comes from these five things.

  1. 1

    Number of participants

Goes up when: A large group is split into several classes, since one trainer handles one class up to a certain size.

Goes down when: One class of the right size. Workbooks, catering, and assessment follow the head count.

  2. 2

    Duration

Goes up when: Several days or several sessions, plus the trainer's preparation time.

Goes down when: Half a day for a narrow goal, or theory moved into a shorter online session.

  3. 3

    Format and location

Goes up when: An outside venue, a trainer from another city, or many cohorts in distant cities.

Goes down when: Your own meeting room, a local trainer, or online delivery that removes venue, catering, and travel.

  4. 4

    Trainer level

Goes up when: A senior practitioner who is rare in the field, a co-trainer for group practice, or delivery in English.

Goes down when: An experienced trainer for established material.

  5. 5

    Customization

Goes up when: Case studies built from your own data and processes, or modules rewritten for your unit.

Goes down when: Proven material with examples from your industry.

The number of cohorts matters too. The training needs analysis (TNA) and material development are paid once, then used by every cohort.

KAK, HPS, and RAB: three documents that are often confused

Each is held by a different party and answers a different question.

KAK

Kerangka Acuan Kerja, known in English as terms of reference (TOR)

Prepared by
The buyer
Contains
Background, training objectives, participant profile, expected outputs, a rough schedule, and provider requirements.
Used for
States what is needed and what a finished result looks like.

HPS

Harga Perkiraan Sendiri, the owner's estimate

Prepared by
The buyer, mainly in government procurement and at many state-owned enterprises
Contains
A price estimate drawn from market prices, past procurement records, and information from prospective providers.
Used for
Under Presidential Regulation 16 of 2018 and its amendments, the HPS is used to judge whether a bid is reasonable and is the highest bid that can be accepted.

RAB

Rencana Anggaran Biaya, the cost plan

Prepared by
The provider, in response to the KAK
Contains
One total broken into components, each with its unit and volume.
Used for
Every line can be checked, and the buyer can see which lines can move when the total goes over the HPS.

Private companies follow a similar flow under other names: a brief from HR or L&D, then a cost proposal from the provider that holds the same content as a RAB.

A RAB layout you can copy

Written without figures. What matters is which lines appear, their unit, and what drives their volume. The figures for your program are in the RAB that comes with the proposal.

AOne-team workshop. A sales team of 20, one day, in their own meeting room, with a trainer from the same city.

BStaged program. Several hundred supervisors in several cities, in cohorts across one semester.

Workbooks and administrationper participantprinted workbooks and attendance lists

Report to managementlump sum or per batchattendance, assessment results, recommendations
  • In a one-team workshop, venue, catering, and travel drop out of the RAB, so the largest line is almost always the trainer fee.
  • In a large program, the TNA and the material are paid once and used by every cohort, so the questions that decide the budget are how many cohorts and in which cities.

Three budget tiers

The tiers let you signal a budget direction early without naming a figure. One program may mix them.

ReportAttendance and assessment resultsSummary plus analysis and recommendationsIndividual progress notes

The table shows the general direction. The exact content for your program, including who the trainer is, is written in the proposal you approve.

When the HPS or budget ceiling is already set

An HPS from the commitment officer, a ceiling from the DIPA or RKA, or what is left in a division's training budget is treated as a design limit. The program is shaped to fit, and its main goal is kept.

LeverWhat it costs you
  • Fewer face-to-face daysLess practice time.
  • Theory moved to a shorter online sessionParticipants need study time protected by their managers.
  • Training in your own meeting roomThe venue and catering lines disappear.
  • Start with one pilot cohortLater cohorts move to next year's budget, and the material can be adjusted first.
  • Standard material for the basicsCustomization goes to the modules closest to the work problem.

The consequence of each lever is written in the proposal, and you decide. When the HPS is well above the real need, the RAB still follows the need.

Tax and documents

VAT (PPN)

Training from a provider registered as a VAT-able entrepreneur (PKP) carries VAT. It appears on the invoice as a separate line with a tax invoice (faktur pajak), which a PKP buyer can credit. Compare proposals on the same basis, before or after VAT.

PPh 23

For services within Article 23 of the Income Tax Law, a buyer acting as a withholding agent withholds PPh 23 at payment and issues a withholding slip. Your finance team decides the final tax treatment of each transaction.

Payment terms

Payment terms are set in the proposal and the contract, following your institution's procurement rules.

Documents that usually come with a program

  • Proposal with RAB
  • Offer letter
  • Purchase order or work order (SPK)
  • Contract or cooperation agreement for large programs
  • Invoice
  • Tax invoice (faktur pajak)
  • Handover record (BAST) and report

How to request a RAB

  1. 1

    Free consultation

Your need is mapped with the Neksus corporate team, and budget questions are answered directly.

  2. 2

    Send what you already have

The list alongside speeds everything up. Anything missing can simply be described.

  3. 3

Receive a proposal with the RAB

Components, units, and volumes are written line by line, ready for internal approval or procurement.

  4. 4

Need a comparison quote for an HPS?

Say so at the start. The RAB uses the same components, so it compares easily with other bids.

Small budgets are welcome

Neksus serves one person up to hundreds of participants. A private coaching RAB usually holds only the trainer fee for the agreed number of sessions, material adjustment, and progress notes.

Questions about corporate training cost

Is there a price list?

Neksus does not publish a price list. Pricing follows the client's need and budget, then is broken into components in the RAB so every line can be checked.

Can the program fit our HPS?

Yes. Your HPS or ceiling is used as a design limit, and the program is shaped to fit. The consequence of each choice is written in the proposal.

Does the cost include VAT?

The RAB shows the value before tax, with VAT as a separate line. The invoice comes with a tax invoice. If your institution withholds PPh 23, it is withheld at payment.

What is the minimum number of participants?

One. Neksus serves private coaching, classes for one small team, and staged programs for hundreds of participants.

Is online training cheaper?

Usually lighter, since venue, catering, travel, and lodging drop out. The trainer fee and material remain. For skills that need hands-on practice, a hybrid format is often the middle path.

What goes into a training RAB?

Trainer fee and preparation, co-trainer, material development, third-party content licenses, TNA with pre and post assessment, venue and catering, trainer travel and lodging, administration including certificates of completion, and a report to management. The lines that appear follow the shape of your program.
